Practical LPG cylinder safety guidance for customers.
Safety comes first
Use cylinders and regulators that are compatible and approved for their intended purpose. Keep cylinders upright in well-ventilated areas and away from heat sources. Do not attempt to refill cylinders yourself or alter valves.
If you suspect a gas leak
Do not operate electrical switches, ignite flames or use a phone near a suspected leak. If safe, close the cylinder valve, move people to a safe place, and contact emergency services or your LPG supplier from outside the affected area.
Always follow the cylinder supplier's safety instructions and applicable Kenyan regulations.
